Kennedy Surveying Broadwater Cogeneration

This project is one of Australia’s biggest renewable electricity generation plants and will generate enough electricity to supply up to a quarter of the surrounding Richmond Valley’s annual power requirements.

Broadwater CogenerationIt will make a substantial contribution to Australia’s greenhouse gas reduction commitments by removing approximately 192 kilo tonnes of carbon dioxide pollution from the air - the equivalent of removing 40,000 cars from our roads each year.

Over the last 8 years Kennedy Surveying Pty Ltd has been involved with the design, development and construction of the new Biomass Cogeneration Plant.

The project required a multifaceted approach with the complexity of the job over a large spatial extent earning Kennedy Surveying best Construction and Infrastructure project as well as the Sir Thomas Mitchell award for best overall project at the recent NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards.
